An Extreme Cold Warning is active for southeastern Texas and
western Louisiana.

Winter Weather Advisories are in effect from Texas to southern
Virginia.

At 300 PM EST...Current radar shows a swath of moderate to heavy
snow ongoing from central Louisiana to the western Florida
Panhandle. Wind reports are in the 20 mph range and blowing snow
could reduce visibilities and make travel difficult along
highways. Snow is also increasing over southern and central
Georgia and upstate South Carolina.

An impactful, rare winter storm will continue across the Gulf
Coast and Southeast through tomorrow morning. Gusty winds and low
visibilities will continue to make travel difficult. Winter storm
impacts will begin this evening for areas farther east across
Georgia, north Florida, and the Carolinas as freezing rain, sleet,
and snow begin. Another weather hazard will be the sub-freezing
cold behind the storm, especially in areas where there are power
outages.
