The cyclone across the central Plains should continue to
strengthen in response to impressive dynamics across the region.
The storm system will move northeastward across the eastern Plains
into the Midwest region by Tuesday afternoon. In the warm sector
of the system, severe weather and scattered instances of flash
flooding are expected across the Gulf Coast and South. On the cold
side of the system, the central Plains and northern Plains will
see possible blizzard conditions as the cyclone wraps moisture
into an increasingly cold air mass on the back side of the system.
Furthermore, wind gusts will continue to be hazardous as the
system intensifies and continue the risk for power outages and
dust storms.
The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 900 AM CST. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
