The Clipper system will rapidly move from the Upper Midwest across
the southern Great Lakes tonight into Friday. Moderate to heavy
snowfall and gusty winds are expected to continue across the
region with snowfall rates reaching 1-2 inches per hour at times.
The storm system will gradually weaken into an open wave by Friday
afternoon as it approaches the central Appalachians. This will
effectively end the period of snowfall related to this Clipper in
the Great Lakes by Friday evening.
The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 900 AM CST. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
